BIG BOY BED

This past weekend G got himself a big boy bed. We took down the crib, so little sister can use it, and we put up a twin size bed in it’s place. He was so cute when we got it all set up. He got up there and laid down and smiled and just loved it.

On Sunday night, the first night in the new bed, I laid down with him and read him a couple books and it wasn’t long until he dozed off. I left the room and went to my bedroom to watch the Mavs coverage on TV.

WOO-HOO MAVS!!! Way to go!!!

He began crying at around 1:30am so I went to check on him and he was just sitting on the edge of the bed like he didn’t know what to do. I made the mistake of bringing him back to bed with us but I can’t help it! I hate to see my sweetie cry!!!

The next night, we did the same routine and he dozed off rather quickly. He started crying at about 12:30am and I went in there and laid with him until he fell back asleep. Then at 3:45am he walked in our room and Trent just let him up in bed. We didn’t even try to fight it and send him back.

Last night, it was rough getting him to sleep. I laid down with him at 9 and didn’t get to leave the room until 10. Pretty much as soon as I left he woke up and started crying so I laid back down with him until he fell back to sleep. Much to my surprise…….

HE SLEPT ALL NIGHT IN THERE!!!

I’m so proud! I hope he keeps it up!!!

So Blessed

We are so blessed to be adding a little girl to our family…

Friday, June 3rd we visited Stork Vision just as we did when I was pregnant with Grayson at 15 weeks.

When we were looking at the screen with the sonographer I knew I saw something different than what we saw with G….but I was just waiting for her to say it.

She pointed her mouse arrow between the legs and said, “does this look familiar” and we said, “no”! Then she proceeded to type out I am a girl on the screen. Then she began to tell us how she could tell.

I immediately had tears of joy and just couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I told her I was so happy to hear that since at my 12 week sono the girl completely guessed and said she was leaning towards boy. Although I knew that the baby had not opened it’s legs and boy/girl parts look the same at that stage in pregnancy.

So then she took another look just to be sure of what she saw. She said, “no..this is a little girl” ~ music to my ears! One of each just sounds absolutely perfect! I have my sweet little boy and now I’ll have a precious baby girl to dress up in pink and frillyness! : ) : ) : )

PURE JOY

Best moment this week: feeling slightly normal again

I’m ready to know what our little bean is. I really don’t have a clue or a stronger feeling as to boy or girl. However, Trent is almost certain it will be another boy.

Why we {need} a boy…
we have one, so we know what to do
he would give grayson a brother
the clothes, the toys, the stuff=cheaper
i’d get to remain as the princess of the house!
what’s sweeter than a mamma’s boy?

Why we {need} a girl…
we don’t have one
who doesn’t love pink, ruffles and sparkles?
she would have the perfect big brother
it would allow me to see my husband with a girl
i would have a shopping buddy

Either way we are so blessed and can’t wait to become a family of FOUR! : )

Memorial Day FUN

memorial day

Today was a relaxing, wonderful day. It was so great to have a 3 day weekend! Grayson played outside in the sprinkler and went swimming as well. We had a home cooked meal of salmon patties, blackeyed peas, squash, potatoes, fried okra and sweet watermelon for dessert.
